Biochemist

You will assist the SPR product manager with product and application support, develop new applications for SPR and write application notes in English.
Testing new instruments and software is also one of your tasks.
Occasionally you will perform instrument installation at customer sites and visit conferences to show our products and exchange ideas with users and potential customers.

A bachelor degree in biochemistry,
Practical experience in setting up biochemistry experiments,
Excellent writing skills in English,
Organization talent and computer literate,
Affinity with techniques and instruments,
Willingness to travel abroad world wide, roughly 15% of your time.

Relocation to the Netherlands is required

Our client is an international operating company, based in Utrecht in the Netherlands, witch develops, manufactures and sells high quality measurement instruments for electrochemistry and biochemistry.

One of their product lines is based on Surface Plasmon Resonance, a fairly new technique in life sciences used for real time measurement of bio-molecular interactions on a thin layer of gold and for that they currently are looking for an experienced Biochemist on a bachelor or academic level.
