International Field Engineer (Compressor Controls)

• Oversee the installation of control systems at the customer location.
• Prepare and report the commissioning activities.
• Commissioning and troubleshooting of products and systems supplied by Woodward.
• Provide technical support to development projects and application projects within the organization, as well as providing support
to customers contacting the helpdesk.
• Resolve problems on installations of installed equipment.

• You have Master of Science degree (TU) or a Bachelor degree (HTS) in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Willing to spend extended periods of time abroad on a regular basis, and willing to work irregular hours.
• You are capable of gaining knowledge quickly to ensure that, after a training period, complex control systems for turbine, diesel,
gas engine, generator and compressor controls are no problem for you. Technical support will be provided by the department.
• Exposure to energy control systems and/or process industry knowledge is an advantage.
• Basic technical writing skills (procedures, reports, etc.).
• Competent in the use of PC’s and experienced in MS-Office (Word, Excel).
• Good written and verbal expression in English is required, an extra language is a preference, Dutch is not required.
• Hands-on mentality and able to work under (time) pressure.
• Good communication skills and a representative appearance.

The Hoofddorp organization is responsible for providing sales and engineering solutions to customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Woodward Hoofddorp employs over 60 people. The Field Engineering department is responsible for commissioning, repair and modification of gas- and diesel engine applications and gas- and steam turbine applications on site and offshore around the world. The department exists of a young team of 10 Field Engineers. We are searching for a graduate, who is willing to travel and wants to start his/her career with Woodward as a Field Engineer supporting turbine, diesel, gas engine, generator applications and compressor controls.
